UK-based insights firm Firefish Group has hired former Kantar exec Mark Webster as Head of Data Strategy, to build new data capabilities and help clients transform existing insight programmes.
The group launched as a qual agency in London in 2000, then added quant division TheNumbersLab a decade later. It also owns a kids and family specialist, The Pineapple Lounge, and an in-house insight films specialist, Firefilms.
Webster (pictured) joins from Kantar, where he latterly served as Senior Client Director, having spent the previous nine years at the Kantar Group's ad and brand research agency Millward Brown. Earlier in his career, he worked for Deutsche Bank as an Analyst. His specialisms include using data to inform brand strategy, media effectiveness and communications, and he has used System 1 neuro techniques, commercial brand equity modelling, and social media and search data blending.
Firefish Group CEO Jem Fawcus comments: 'Mark's expertise and passion fit perfectly with the next evolution of the Firefish Group and I can't wait to see him putting new tools and thinking in the hands of our brilliant client teams here - enhancing existing best-in-class solutions and delivering even more powerful client stories'.
