Stagwell Merges Units for New Toronto Firm DonerNorth

In Toronto, Harris Poll owner Stagwell Group has brought together two units of its recently merged business MDC Partners to form a new agency, DonerNorth. The two are creative, digital and media experts UNION and shopper innovation and insights firm 6 Degrees.

Stagwell says the new firm - which is part of its Doner Partners Network (DPN), headquartered in Detroit and with offices in and LA and Connecticut - will be 'underpinned by predictive intelligence', and 'craft creative ideas ...that both inspire and nudge consumers to conversion in the most relevant micro-moments'. Leading the agency will be Catherine Marcolin (pictured), President; Lance Martin, Chief Creative Officer and co-founder of UNION; and Adrianne Gaffney Wotherspoon, Chief Strategist and former Managing Partner of 6 Degrees.

The launch is a return to Canada for Doner, which ran a large Toronto office for around 30 years, closing it in 2011 prior to its acquisition by MDC.
