Opendatasoft Gets Funds for International Expansion

Paris, France-based data sharing software provider Opendatasoft has raised $25m in a new round of funding, which it will use to scale its operations and accelerate international and vertical market expansion.

Jean-Marc LazardThe firm's Data Experience Platform allows users to visualize any type of data (as tables and graphs), and automatically process, clean and standardize data from internal and external sources. It also offers clients a Data Hub of more than 25,000 public datasets, for use in tailoring experiences and generating insights.

New funding has been led by Demeter (through its Paris Fonds Vert fund), with participation from existing investors, including the Banque des Territoires, and two other new backers, ODYSSÉE Ventures and Eiffel Investment Group. The investment will also be used to expand activities in Australia and across Europe, enter new vertical markets such as retail, services and healthcare, and expand the exiting Boston office.
