Insight Communities Firm eCGlobal Acquired

Brazil-based digital marketing specialist Stefanini Group has acquired eCGlobal, developer of a collaborative platform for online insights communities and branded social media networks. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

eCGlobal is based in Latin America and the US, and was founded in 2006 as an online panel company. The firm now creates communities and networks which combine social media, gamification and insights tools, with qual and quant methodologies, to connect with consumers and understand their profiles, needs and behaviour. Currently the firm has more than one million consumers on its platform, mainly from Brazil and Latin America, with plans to expand to other international markets.

Following the deal the Stafanini Group, which comprises a network of 30 companies, will add eCGlobal to its 'Haus' digital marketing portfolio, to help brands and consumers to engage, collaborate and co-create better products and experiences. Adriana Rocha (pictured top), co-founder and co-CEO of eCGlobal, says the sale will allow the firm to scale its solutions and reach new countries.
