Further Global Roll-Out for Nielsen's ID System

Nielsen has continued the roll-out of its Identity System for Digital Ad Ratings, launching in seven new Asian markets, seven in Europe and in Mexico, South Africa and New Zealand.

Arnaud FradeThe Asian countries are the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia and the UAE, and in Europe launches are taking place in Norway, Poland, Greece, the Netherlands, Belgium, the Czech Republic and Hungary. All seventeen new markets will have data from last Friday, July 1st.

The Nielsen Identity System is based around relationships with global and local data providers including The Trade Desk, Equifax, Kochava, Toluna and Cint, and boasts more than 2 billion device identifiers across the world. The system enables the company's Digital Ad Ratings solution to measure digital campaigns for the open web alongside the integrations it already has in place for the Internet's 'walled gardens'. Nielsen says this helps advertisers and publishers to measure the reach and frequency of their audiences 'with confidence knowing that when a digital ad is viewed, demographics are deduplicated across mobile and PC platforms'.

In April this year the Identity System was launched in Australia, Germany, India and Japan, adding to Italy, France and the UK where it was already up and running. The ratings giant says the system roll-out is 'an important milestone' in the continued evolution of the cross-platform Nielsen ONE strategy; and expects to add more markets as soon as next month.
