UK's Blue Marble Research Hires and Promotes

In the UK, market and social research agency Blue Marble Research has appointed Nadia Chan as Research Manager and Evie Fleck as Research Executive, while promoting Oscar Maclagan to the role of Senior Research Executive.

The Bath / Bristol-based company uses a full suite of methodologies for qualitative, ethnographic and quantitative research, while also conducting desk research and literature reviews. The firm was launched in 2007 by Emma Partridge, the former owner of customer insight and brand strategy consultancy 100% Cotton, who previously held senior roles at The Research Business International (TRBI) (acquired by Synovate in 2004, which was itself acquired by Ipsos seven years later).

Chan joins from Kantar WorldPanel, where she served as Client Manager for Unilever, before which, she worked for exam board ABRSM as an SRE, having previously been the organisation's Customer Panels Executive. Earlier, she was an RE at Trinity McQueen, Junior RE at 2CV, and RA at Streetbees, after starting her career at the Research Partnership as a Project Assistant. Fleck is an Oxford graduate who recently completed an MA in Gender, Society and Representation. Separately, Maclagan has been promoted after joining late last year as an RE, and having previously completed an MSc in Global Migration at UCL. At Blue Marble, Maclagan is currently managing the firm's longitudinal study of the cost-of-living crisis for client, Citizens Advice.
