Funds for Cross-Party Political Strategist Purple

Purple Strategies, a corporate reputation firm based in Alexandria, Virginia, has completed a growth recapitalization with Boston-based private equity firm WestView Capital Partners. Purple combines full-service research capabilities with political / campaign strategy and execution.

Purple was founded fourteen years ago when two firms of political advisors from opposite sides of the US political spectrum found themselves asked to work together to balance studies with a mix of 'red' and 'blue' perspectives. Now with a team of more than 130 experts, the company offers advice on political, brand and reputation strategy for companies across life sciences, technology, energy, food and beverage, industrial, defense and communications.

As part of the funding deal two WestView execs, General Partner Jonathan Hunnicutt and Principal Jeff Clark, will join Purple's Board of Directors.

Purple was represented in the deal by GP Bullhound and Blank Rome; and WestView by Latham & Watkins with debt financing provided by First Eagle.
