Cogwheel Launches Hotel Sector Intelligence Tool

October 3 2022

In the US, hotel sector specialist Cogwheel Marketing has launched a reporting and business intelligence tool, which aggregates data from multiple sources to provide a 360-degree view of a hotel's online presence.

Stephanie SmithCogwheel delivers strategy and services to branded hotels, ensuring they develop their online positioning against the competitive set and against similar hotels. Services include support for openings, conversions, content, imagery, search engine optimization, OTA (online travel agencies) optimization, social media, paid marketing strategy and UNAP consistency (URL, name, address, phone).

The new Cogwheel Analytics tool aggregates booked data from various sources to compile web site performance highlights, paid media and ad campaigns, reviews analysis, social media and online travel agency data points - providing both roll-up reports and individual hotel data. Its media metrics come from Expedia Travels, metasearch, Google search engine marketing and display. In addition, it can deliver review metrics - including volume of reviews and responses per channel, sentiment analysis and comments; and social media metrics - including both organic and paid performance, engagement and overview of all content posted.

CEO Stephanie Smith (pictured) comments: 'Our platform should save time for market leaders to help analyze their hotel portfolios while also sharing valuable insights with their owners and operators. This product has been in production for a long time as the data points are so disjointed. That is why there isn't anything similar to it for our industry'.
