dscout Buys Panelfox, Expands to UK, Hires Two in US

US-based research platform dscout has acquired Panelfox, a software platform to help researchers manage their recruitment process. The firm has also established a presence in the UK, led by former Lucid exec Ben Hogg; and has hired two senior execs in the US.

Founded in 2020 by Michael Mukhin, LA-based Panelfox has developed software for panel management, bulk e-mail, screeners, scheduling, confirmations, reminders, and incentive payments. In a statement, dscout said the deal - terms of which have not been disclosed - will streamline the experience for teams building their own panels, supporting smaller teams and growing research organizations. Michael Winnick (pictured), founder and CEO, comments: 'dscout is becoming the way to conduct experience research, and we are ready to scale quickly in order to deliver on the enormous opportunity ahead of us'.

In addition, the company has expanded to the UK, where it has hired Hogg as MD, International. He was previously Lucid's MD, EMEA, before which he worked for Research Now, latterly as MD - EMEA Portfolio Companies; and he was Business Development Director at Nielsen/NetRatings. Hogg also worked for MyVoice and NetValue, and earlier let the Euopean launch of San Francisco-based mobile measurement and survey company Telephia.

Separately, the company has hired former Eneverus exec Brad Talkington as Chief Financial Officer, while ex-LinkedIn exec Julie Norvaisas joins as Vice President of Research. COO Chip Hardt comments: 'dscout is already the preferred platform of choice for human experience research, and has massive potential to drive the industry forward. At this pivotal moment for the industry, we are applying our collective experience to ensure that the company can scale rapidly to take advantage of the enormous opportunity ahead, while continually increasing the value we offer to our customers'.
