Sago Promotes for Chief Product and Technology Roles

US-based international data collection and research tech company Sago has promoted Steve Mast to the newly created role of Chief Product Officer and Carlo Marcelino to Chief Technology Officer, replacing Troy Anderson who has left the company. The firm was previously known as the Schlesinger Group.

Steve Mast and Carlo MarcelinoRenamed last month, Sago offers a range of managed and self-serve qual and quant solutions, including recruitment and project management for any methodology, online or in-person, and panel acquisitions. The business also has a global network of proprietary facilities, panels and partnerships to provide worldwide data collection and project management services.

Mast joined in 2021, and most recently served as EVP, Market Innovation & Commercialization. Before this he spent nearly 23 years at Canadian data collection firm Delvinia, latterly as President and Chief Innovation Officer. Marcelino, who joined last November as SVP IT, previously worked at insurance technology provider Insureon as SVP Infrastructure and Security; before which he spent six years at natural, organic and specialty products insight provider SPINS, latterly as Head of Engineering & IT; and he held senior network engineering roles at online florist network FTD, as well as at HSBC.
