Course5 Intelligence Raises $28m

May 19 2023

In India, analytics and insights company Course5 Intelligence has raised $28m in a round of funding, which it will use to ramp up its investments in innovation and advanced AI technology including deep learning, computer vision, natural language and generative AI.

Ashwin MittalCourse5 Intelligence was formed in 2018 from the merger of the Cross-Tab Group companies Blueocean Market Intelligence and Cross-Tab.

New funding comes from ONE Asset Management Limited's Tech Fund, and Course5 says it will be closing a further $27m investment round shortly, led by unnamed investors. Commenting on how the funds will be used, the company said it is currently in talks with several M&A prospects that would add capabilities or IP to complement its existing solutions.

Chairman and CEO Ashwin Mittal (pictured) comments: 'Course5 has been organically built on its own cash flows to date, and we have always believed in being capital efficient and think that this is the right time to raise external capital. This funding will enable us to continue to invest in augmenting our value proposition for our clients, and we are thrilled to have found a strong partner in 360 ONE Asset'.
