More Funds for In-Game Programmatic Ad Platform Anzu

Israel-based in-game ad platform Anzu has raised $48m in a Series B round of funding, which it will use to continue to expand its leadership team, and grow its US footprint by developing teams across the country.

Itamar BenedyAnzu's technology works across multiple gaming platforms, including consoles, helping advertisers reach audiences programmatically. The firm claims its patented 3D ad tracking engine is the first to bring viewability measurement in-game with Oracle Moat and IAS, partnerships with AdTech vendors, and compliant with the industry measurement standards outlined by the MRC and IAB.

New funding was led by Emmis Corporation, with participation from PayPal Ventures, Evolution, Simon Equity Partners, and Bandai Namco Entertainment 021 Fund. Existing Anzu investors include Sony Innovation Fund, NBCUniversal, WPP, Bitkraft, Samsung Next, Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment (HBSE) Ventures, Axel Springer and Marquee Ventures.
