KPMG Customer Partner Halligan to Take OzTam CEO Role

Australian TV measurement body OzTam has appointed Karen Halligan, most recently a Partner at KPMG, as its new Chief Executive.

Karen HalliganOzTAM is Australia's official source of television audience measurement, serving as ad currency and covering broadcast free-to-air television in the five major mainland cities; subscription television nationally; and BVOD viewing on connected devices throughout Australia.

Halligan, who starts on 27th November, brings more than 25 years' experience in senior client, media owner and agency roles - the last six at KPMG where she is Partner - KPMG Customer specialising in marketing, martech and media advisory. Earlier she worked at Coca-Cola as Media Manager, and in media agency roles including MD of Zenith, and senior roles with Mediacom, Slingshot Media and Bohemia Group. She was also National Commercial and Operations Director at SCA.

OzTAM Independent Chair Mark Buckman says the new arrival has 'an impeccable reputation and tremendous senior experience across agency, client, media owner and consulting'. Dorus van den Biezenbos has served as Interim CEO for the last three months and will continue as a consultant to OzTam. Buckman thanks him for 'an outstanding job' and 'significant contribution'.
