SurveyMonkey Launches Instant AI Survey-Maker

October 25 2023

DIY online survey synonym SurveyMonkey has launched Build with AI, a survey creation feature powered by OpenAI's GPT-3 software.

Eric JohnsonThe latest tool in SurveyMonkey's Genius lineup of AI-enabled features, Build with AI takes a user's written description of a feedback objective and creates a survey based on it. The tool is available now and free for all SurveyMonkey users. A selection of prompts are available for popular feedback and research use cases, removing the need even for the self-drafted description. The resulting survey is reviewed and edited as required.

Other features include guidance for survey drafting, 'to help users at any expertise level ask the right questions in the right ways'; safety features to keep data secure while GPT-3 is used; support in 50+ languages; and holistic integration with existing SurveyMonkey Genius AI features, including AI for data collection and analysis.

CEO Eric Johnson (pictured) comments: 'There is one common attribute in most AI-driven applications: speed. While speed is critical in today's environment, you can't sacrifice accuracy, especially when you are using AI at work. We've got one of the world's biggest survey datasets, and we're leveraging it to help our users create and deploy methodologically sound surveys that will yield useful insights faster than ever before. Our tools have always helped deliver key insights in a timely manner. Today, we are doubling down on that - employing artificial intelligence combined with the depth and breadth of our proprietary dataset to help people make impactful decisions faster and more frequently'.
