InContext Launches Planogram Insights Model

US firm InContext Solutions, which offers 3D simulation software for retail, has launched a behavioral insights prediction model called Arrangement AI, using machine learning and AI prediction models to generate insights for planogram arrangement concepts.

InContext has developed the use of retail simulations/digital twins (and the associated management of 3D Content), to conduct virtual shopping trips used to generate insights into store layout and category management. The firm's behavioral insights prediction model for planogram arrangement is based on more than two million virtual store shopping trips.

Rich Scamehorn (pictured), co-founder and Chief Research Officer, claims: 'InContext's bread and butter is our fifteen years of virtual shopper research. With a data lake of more than two million virtual shopping trips and over one thousand online shopper surveys, we are able to create proprietary machine learning models that can predict behavioral outcomes for planogram arrangement with 80% accuracy on average, and in 65 CPG categories in the US'.
