Discuss Uncorks More Powerful Genie

December 7 2023

US-based tech insight provider Discuss has enhanced its capabilities for scaling qual research with the latest release of its People Experience Platform, featuring expanded 'Genie' generative AI tools and advanced global asynchronous research features.

Adam MertzThe firm unveiled the Genie generative AI-based solution back in May, using OpenAI's software to carry out qualitative MR admin tasks such as creating summary reports from hours of interviews, in just seconds. The new features allow users to uncover key insights and automatically translate interviews 'in an instant', but can also pull out a number of 'snackable' or 'shareable' quotes supporting each key theme, helping users to trust and verify Genie's outputs as well as saving the work of hunting through transcripts to locate them.

The addition of advanced global asynchronous research supports global, multi-language projects by translating respondent feedback from the native language to English in seconds - the firm says this is twenty times faster than it was, while both the original transcription accuracy and the accuracy of English translations is 'unmatched in the industry'.

Lastly, new project and user management tools have been added making it easier to streamline and accelerate the research process and launch a project in a matter of minutes. Adam Mertz (pictured), the firm's SVP of Product & Marketing comments 'This launch continues our trend of not only being first-to-market with innovative GenAI features, but ones that provide immense ROI for our customers. In addition, with our large base of global customers, our new enhancements highlight our continued focus to make the world's best platform for scaling global qual research across 100+ markets vs. just the typical handful of markets other vendors often focus on'.
