Business Services colossus Accenture has acquired Redkite, a UK-based consultancy helping clients exploit data-driven intelligence and AI to improve business performance. Terms were not disclosed.

Redkite MD Jon TippellHeadquartered in London and founded in 2018, Redkite advises on data strategy and helps design and build data platforms. The firm employs more than 230 professionals and boasts deep expertise in the consumer goods and services, retail and media industries, helping UK companies launch new products and services, improve data-driven decision-making and personalise customer experience.

The company will join Accenture's Data & AI practice in the UK, as part of the consulting giant's recently announced $3bn three-year investment, which it says will see the division's AI talent doubled to 80,000 professionals through a mix of hiring, acquisitions and training. The powerful combination of Accenture and Redkite's capabilities, expertise and services will help clients make the shift to scale AI investments, rapidly and responsibly' Redkite MD Jon Tippell (pictured) says companies 'need strong digital foundations in the cloud across their business' if they want to embrace the opportunity presented by data and AI, and adds: 'Joining Accenture means we can become a stronger force for our clients to set their data strategies in motion and fuel their organisations with intelligence'.
