ACNielsen Gears Up Asian Team

Partha Rakshit, formerly MD of ACNielsen, India and for Customised Research Services in the region, has been promoted to MD for South Asia, as previous incumbent Russell Farmery takes up the challenging role of MD of ACNielsen, Greater China. Sarang Panchal replaces Rakshit as Head of ACNielsen ORG-MARG, the Customised Division for India.

Rakshit worked at Philip Morris and Procter & Gamble before joining ACNielsen on its Indian launch. He is a former President of the Market Research Society in India (1990-1993) and the ESOMAR National Representative in India (1991-1996). Previous roles within ACNielsen include the management of its interests in Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, ORG-GfK Marketing Services (India) Ltd and the organisation's TAM India interests.

Farmery will move from Mumbai to Shanghai to lead the company's ambitious plans for the region.
