March 7 2024

Research platform Discuss has announced a Spring round of new product features, including expanded GenAI summaries for global research; a new one-stop-shop consumer reach tier for global brands; off-platform research capabilities; and enhanced machine transcription.

Adam MertzThe firm's Genie AI assistant now features expanded English summaries for multi-language, multi-country research projects. These provide instant recaps, project summaries and thematic analysis for easy access by teams around the globe.

For global brands looking for a one-stop-shop solution for scaling in-depth MR, the new consumer reach solution tier gives unlimited access to the platform for IDIs, focus groups, asynchronous activities, Genie and other activities, as well as live tech support for every session, for project management and recruitment. The platform's machine transcription capabilities have seen dramatic speed improvements - up to one hour of video in 30 seconds, and boast 'unmatched accuracy' with a word error rate of only 8.4% for English, and, the company claims, '30% more accuracy in non-English languages than any other transcription tool on the market'. French, German, Portuguese, Spanish, Hindi, Dutch and Flemish are available with more promised 'soon'.

Off-platform research capabilities include seamless upload of video files from a hard drive of online cache such as Dropbox or SharePoint folder - these are now auto-transcribed and accessible globally, with key themes and insights identified in a click with Genie. The platform also features streamlined and simplified controls and access, with a new automated User Management Dashboard.

Chief Growth Officer Adam Mertz (pictured) says the latest release shows the firm's commitment to 'empowering researchers to boldly embrace this new era of market research'. He adds: 'With these enhancements, we're arming researchers with the tools to delve deeper, effortlessly scale their initiatives, and streamline their workflows, while prioritizing the human at the forefront of their global research'.
