MikMak Adds Custom Reporting and CX Optimization Tools

Multichannel eCommerce enablement and analytics platform MikMak has enhanced its insights offering with the launch of a Custom Report Builder function, as well as a CX optimization tool, 'Headless Commerce API'.

A year ago the firm acquired French eCommerce enablement and customer journey analytics platform Swaven, and in August it followed up with the acquisition of ChannelAdvisor's Shoppable Media and Brand Analytics products and team from transaction network CommerceHub. In December, it partnered with consumer data giant Circana, promising clients data on off-line sales lift from digital marketing, along with help preventing cart abandonment and converting shoppers.

With the latest enhancements the firm says it is 'entering the world of 'headless commerce', an approach that separates the back-end functionalities of an eCommerce application from the front end'. Custom Report Builder allows brands to build and share bespoke reports that identify the key variables driving purchase intent and sales, specifying the metrics, dimensions and filters to use, as part of the MikMak Insights Platform. The API gives users the ability to build, design and customize their eCommerce web sites and media experiences using MikMak's global retail network, inventory and sales attribution data.

The upgrade also includes new features for login, checkout and compliance, and the company says over the next year it will expand into more new areas with a focus on attribution capabilities, data partnerships, and AI-powered predictive analytics and product information.
