Seed Funds for eCommerce Analyst Dema

Stockholm, Sweden-based Dema.ai, which provides a predictive analytics platform for eCommerce, has secured EUR 7m in a Seed round of funding, for use in accelerating its growth.

The firm was founded in 2022 by Marcus Tagesson, David Feldell and Henrik Hoffman, and combines real-time commercial analysis of clients' operations; and forecasts of future revenue, profit, customer lifetime value and inventory based on AI and machine learning, to help optimise marketing spend. The tools are billed as 'Plug and Play', allowing access across an organisation.

The round was led by J12 Ventures and Daphni, plus a number of angel investors. Tagesson (pictured) says Dema offers 'deep insights to ignite the entire e-commerce industry', and comments: 'The metrics that truly matter are unreachable for most. Unlocking the full scope of your data demands vast resources and a skilled workforce, typically reserved only for the industry giants. Dema empowers better decision-making by delivering transformative predictions and revelations for the future icons of e-commerce'.
