SmartyPants Hires Healthcare and Video Games Leader

US-based research firm Smarty Pants has appointed former Material employee Terry Cudmore to lead custom research initiatives for a number of its clients in the healthcare and video game sectors.

Terry CudmoreThe company, which has headquarters in Johnson City, TN and offices in seven other US cities, works on brand positioning, new product development, consumer lifestyle and trend research, with a focus on youth and family.

Cudmore joins from Los Angeles-based Material+ where he was an Associate VP of Qualitative Insights, helping to optimize customer lifetime value for clients in the lifestyle, CPG, healthcare and technology sectors. Earlier he spent eleven years at C Space, initially as a Consultant and latterly a Director leading strategic accounts for both qual and quant research. He began his research career in television as an analyst for both CBS and FX networks, having earned a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism from Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.

His new position bears the characteristically SmartyPants job title 'Insights Genius' - a senior role, the firm helpfully points out.
