ACKWEST was set up a year ago by Hugh Davis and Keith Price - the founders of Greenfield Online, reInvention and Critical Mix - as a holding company aiming to promote firms which 'create uncorrupted, unbiased and human-verified data for reliable business intelligence'. Shortly afterwards it invested in first party data specialist TestSet as the latter launched in Europe; and brought in senior execs from Dynata to lead its growth.
Precision Sample, which was founded in 2009 by CEO Don Golden (pictured) and CTO Partha Pudhota, was until recently a unit of Toluna - at the time of the sale the firm's total panel members exceeded 25 million in major economies across North America, South America, Europe & Asia.
The Precision Sample team remain in place as part of the enlarged TestSet offering, whose web site is at www.testset.com .
