New York-based youth culture specialist YPulse has launched a 'Tweens' insights service, offering North American-based brands an understanding of the behavior of pre-teens and the trends influencing them.YPulse was founded in 2004 and has until now focused on research among Gen Z and Millennial consumers (13 to 39-year-olds) - including teens, college students, young adults and young parents. The subscription-based research platform provides daily articles, behavioral reports, trend reports and data. Now the firm is adding coverage of 8-12-year-olds.
The first YPulse Tweens Study provides a broad overview of what tweens are thinking, doing and buying in 2025, along with their influence in the household. This will be followed by quarterly reports looking in more detail at their Hobbies, Toys, Play & Sports (Q2), Shopping Retail & Fashion (Q3) and Media and Entertainment (Q4).
MaryLeigh Bliss, YPulse's Chief Content Officer, will head up the introduction of the new subscription service. She comments: 'Brands are paying close attention to tweens as they can feel and see the shift driven by this influential age group. YPulse's new Tweens insights subscription decodes tween behavior, delivering valuable insights to help brands connect with and engage young digital natives. We understand every generation is different and we are showing how the next generation is being formed, so brands can be best prepared for the future.'
The initial YPulse Tweens Study was conducted over two weeks starting in mid-January, and used nationally representative samples of 1,000 8-12-year-olds in the US and 500 in Canada.
The firm has team members based in four US cities, three countries in South America and in Germany and the UK. Web site: www.ypulse.com .
