The agency consists of an insights division, Bovitz, and a marketing services division, Boombox. The insights unit offers qual and quant research, as well as consulting. And operates a proprietary panel.
Sackman, who will now work closely with Greg Bovitz, joined research agency LRW as long ago as 1986, when its headcount was around 30, and stayed for 38 years. Sackman became Chairman and CEO and LRW became Material, now a $400m global insights and marketing agency. He is also the founder of appliedVR, a health-tech company using immersive virtual reality to treat chronic pain and now FDA-approved and backed by $85m in funding. Since leaving Material in December, he has worked part-time as a Senior Adviser at McKinsey.
Bovitz said in a statement on LinkedIn: 'With Dave's leadership, our vision of putting people at the heart of business is expanding. We're deepening our behavioral science, data science, and marketing expertise - and now adding change management to help clients not only understand human attitudes and behaviors but also act on them effectively.'
