Nielsen has appointed former Univision and Mediaocean exec Richard Pacheco as Head of Global Partnerships.Pacheco (pictured) joins from ad platform Mediaocean, where he oversaw strategic partnerships and business development - he joined the company with its acquisition of 4C Insights, where he was Head of Corporate Business Development. Earlier in his career, he was a corporate attorney, and worked in media investment banking - he then moved to Univision, where he latterly led the enterprise development group, driving growth through strategic partnerships, investments and new operating businesses. He is a graduate of Harvard University.
In his new role, Pacheco will oversee the ratings giant's global partnership strategy, including the maintenance and building of new partnerships with companies across the ad tech ecosystem. He will also collaborate with Nielsen's corporate development team to identify new company growth opportunities.
He reports to Nielsen Chief Product Officer Akhil Parekh, who comments: 'Client-centric innovation is a driving force behind many of the industry solutions we pioneer and create. A big part of ensuring success for our clients is making sure we have the right types of collaborative opportunities in place to help them further drive growth and value for their businesses.
