Former Crowd DNA researcher Stephanie Winkler has left to set up her own company, an Asia Pacific-focused cultural insight and strategy consultancy called Magic Gold.Australia-based Winkler (pictured) was Head of Insight (APAC) in a five-year spell at VICE Media Group, before joining cultural insights and strategy consultancy Crowd DNA in October 2020 as a Director, later promoted to Head of Agency & Cultural Strategy.
Magic Gold promises brands insight, strategic consulting and cultural fluency to help them succeed in the Asia Pacific market. Teams will be assembled on a project basis from a pool of more than 40 'collaborators' based across the region, in countries including Australia, New Zealand, China, India, Japan and Korea. 'More than twenty' methodologies offered include unstructured data analysis, qual and quant research, semiotics, scenario planning and AI tools.
The firm said in a statement, 'We believe the insight & strategy industry is changing, and that Asia Pacific is the centre of the world. A new era demands a new kind of offer: purpose-built to help bold brands break through in the world's most dynamic markets.'
