QualSights brings together quant and qual consumer research and off-line behavioural data, the latter collected by a combination of in-context video and passive IoT sensors in devices such as 'smart coasters'. It also offers AI-based tools for rapid analysis of data. The firm says that for sustained growth, companies need to know how products are actually used - 'how often, how much, and in what moments.'
UseSights delivers category-level benchmarks for consumer 'occasions, needs, jobs, habits and trends' - with the client's brand's performance alongside for comparison. This promises the ability to sharpen competitive positioning, and prioritize opportunities for category and brand growth. To allow clients to further refine and position products, UseSights then adds tailored Insights powered by its 'XMOT' Method, to provide context-rich understanding of product performance, consumer behavior, motivations, barriers and emotions, at the exact moment of use and based on actual behavior rather than potentially imperfect recall.
Data covers frequency of use, amount used, overall satisfaction, usage gaps, time of day used, day of week used, frequency tiers and brand preference, among other factors.
The firm, which boasts an A-list Board of Directors, is online at www.qualsights.com .
