CAPI Capability for Confirmit

Online survey and software specialist FIRM has announced that it is working on its first multi-mode solution, Confirmit CAPI, which it says will 'dramatically change the Market Research industry'.

Agencies conducting online and face-to-face interviewing will be able to standardize all survey data on one platform and manage all survey and reporting activities via a single application. According to FIRM's own MR Software Survey (conducted by Meaning Ltd), 81% of the world's MR agencies have access to web interviewing software but only 33% have access to CAPI software. Entering the CAPI marketplace increases the value of the Confirmit offering to both existing and potential clients across both channels.

'Gone are the days where Market Research companies needed five or more systems to deliver a research project to the client' says FIRM's VP of Marketing, Kjell Øksendal, adding that the company expects to take 'a serious piece' of the multi-mode market. Confirmit's prominence among software used for online surveys by MR agencies - it has the largest market share - will guarantee the CAPI launch is a significant event for multi-mode. The move should also enable FIRM to gain new market share and increase penetration in its primary markets, according to Øksendal.
