In Sydney, research reporting platform Displayr has launched the 'Data Preparation Agent', an AI assistant which it says automatically compresses hours of manual checking coding, and cleaning work into around 90 seconds.Displayr provides all-in-one analysis and reporting software purpose-built for survey data and connecting it with analysis, visualizations and reports. In the summer it launched a tool called ResearchAgent, which it says turns survey data into fully transparent, editable reports 'in minutes instead of days.'
The new Data Preparation Agent, which is available in beta to the company's customers and trialists now, is able to understand survey-specific structures including Nominal, Ordinal, grids, NPS, and text responses, and will restructure and rename variables accordingly. The tool fixes reversed scales and missing codes; flags low-quality or straight-lined responses; creates NPS, top-2-box, and numeric versions; automatically classifies open-ended responses into editable themes; and sets unique identifiers and detects duplicates. Every change is logged, providing full transparency and editability.
CEO and co-founder Tim Bock (pictured) comments: 'Every researcher knows data cleaning is the part of the job that tests your patience. The Data Preparation Agent takes away that frustration and gives back what matters - time to think, explore, and uncover real insight.'
