Genius Sports, which serves as a data, tech and broadcast partner for the global sports, betting and media ecosystem, has announced a partnership with the sports division of Publicis, aiming to 'reshape the future of fan engagement' via its proprietary sports advertising platform FANHub.
Genius' technology combines AI, computer vision and big data, and is used in more than 150 countries, in partnerships with more than 700 sports organizations, including leagues, teams, sportsbooks, brands and broadcasters such as the NFL, the English Premier League, bet365, Coca-Cola, EA Sports, CBS and ESPN.
The deal gives Publicis Sports clients access to the FANHub platform, allowing brands to connect with 'specific, verified fans at peak moments of passion and attention,' tying in messaging with what's happening in games with the aim of strengthening brand engagement and 'emotional connection.'
This Moment-Driven Activation is one of three key pillars of the partnership, alongside Immersive Ad Innovation - putting augmented and contextual placements within live broadcasts to second-screen fan interactions; and Measurement and Intelligence, building new frameworks to connect the resulting engagement with measurable business impact. Publicis Sports will also join the Genius Sports Innovation Council, an advisory forum of leading leagues, teams and broadcasters.
Josh Linforth (pictured), Chief Revenue Officer of Genius Sports comments: 'Together with Publicis Sports, we're ushering in a new era in sports advertising, one where emotion, data, and creativity converge to elevate every fan experience... Publicis Sports' global reach and commitment to innovation make them the perfect partner as we continue to redefine how brands engage with global sports fans in the moments that truly matter.' Suzy Deering, Publicis Sports CEO says the partnership expands upon the company's Connected Media offering and its unique access to Epsilon identity and Sponsorship Intelligence data.
