Norstat Crosses Atlantic with Offerwise Acquisition

Norstat has acquired Brazilian-based Offerwise, which offers proprietary research panels across the Americas. The acquisition accelerates Norstat's expansion from a pan-European platform to a global data collection provider.

Established in Norway in 1997, Norstat offers sample-only services, full-service fieldwork and digital solutions, with access to four million respondents in 19 European countries. In addition to all the Nordic and Baltic countries, it now operates across Poland, Germany, the UK, France, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Austria and Italy. The acquisition of Offerwise adds representative, proprietary panels throughout the Americas, with more than ten million respondents across twenty countries. The acquired firm was founded in 2001 and also has offices in Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Chile, Peru and the US.

Norstat says by extending its footprint to give extensive coverage on both sides of the Atlantic, the deal gives clients of both companies global reach for high-quality MR data. The integration of the two companies will begin immediately after the acquisition, and also gives Offerwise's clients access to Norstat's advanced digital products & solutions, including Norstat Express, Norstat Dashboards, MyNorstat, and Norstat Studio.

Offerwise founder Andrew Lissak, previously its sole owner, will remain with the company as an advisor, while Rob Dolafi assumes the role of CEO of Offerwise and Head of a new Norstat Americas unit, reporting to global CEO Erling J.B. Eriksen.
