ISG Acquisition and Launches Accelerate its AI Use

In the US, tech research and advisory firm ISG has acquired the AI Maturity Index, a platform allowing firms to assess and improve the AI readiness of their workforce. ISG has also appointed Steve Hall as Chief AI Officer, leading a new ISG AI Acceleration Unit; and plans the launch of an AI-powered insights platform.

ISG (Information Services Group) is headquartered in Stamford, CT and was founded nearly twenty years ago by former Nielsen / VNU man Michael P. Connors. It currently employs around 1,600 people in more than twenty countries, providing services including digital transformation and other change management, sourcing advisory, strategy and operations design, market intelligence, technology research and analysis.

The AI Maturity Index was developed and launched last year by co-founders, Eryn Peters and Iwo Szapar, specialists respectively in change management and remote work infrastructure. In a short time on the market it has assessed more than 6,000 individual AI users and collected more than 400,000 data points - ISG says this 'will expand exponentially' as the platform gains broader use.

The Acceleration Unit will integrate expertise from across ISG to further enhance the firm's AI advisory and research offerings for clients and 'turbocharge' its AI growth. The proprietary insights platform, scheduled for launch this quarter, will feature an AI-powered 'intelligence advisor' helping clients to access the company's store of data and analysis of the broader technology market and the capabilities of specific technology and software providers.
