Advantage Group International (AGI) has appointed Matt Nitzberg as Chief Client Officer, leading all global client service, sales, marketing and commercial activities. He will also continue to serve as the firm's Head of North America.
AGI was established in 1989 and is headquartered in Canada. The company helps suppliers and retail partners work together with the help of data, feedback and strategy consulting, and last week launched Advantage LiveLens, described as 'a continuous client insight environment' for the CPG / FMCG sector, promoting continuous partnership and 'always-on intelligence.'
Nitzberg began his career in 1988 as a brand Manager at Procter & Gamble and Marketing Director at Borden Foods, for a total of eight years client side. He then moved to IRI (now part of Circana), and spent more than eleven years at dunnhumby, much of it in the Manufacturer practice and more recently as Head of M&A and then Global Client Strategy and Capability Leader. He then worked at Nepa and The Partnering Group, prior to joining AGI in 2023.
'Matt's appointment reflects how we are evolving AGI for the future,' says CEO Peter Harris. 'Over the past three years, he has strengthened client partnerships and delivered disciplined growth in North America. Bringing our global client and commercial teams together under his leadership allows us to scale those outcomes, improve consistency across markets, and deepen the value we deliver to clients worldwide.'
Nitzberg himself says organizations are looking for 'deeper partnerships and closer connections between insight, action, and impact.' He adds: 'Aligning our client-facing teams globally allows us to meet those expectations more effectively and help clients navigate complexity with confidence.'
