New inca Feature Aids Sophisticated Probing

March 2 2026

Toronto-based conversational research solutions provider Nexxt Intelligence | inca has announced the launch of inca SmartProbe Studio, which allows researchers to set up and review simulated AI probing conversations before going live with research.

Kathy ChengNexxt Intelligence was established in 2015 and uses conversational AI to add qualitative depth to all the capabilities of a quant survey. inca - which stands for inquisitive natural conversation agent - is the software behind the end-to-end platform, as well as AI Coding, which analyses and codes open-ended responses; and SmartProbeAPI, which adds qual probing capabilities to any quant survey platform.

The new feature builds on the last of these, allowing researchers to work alongside the AI to fine-tune settings and tailor SmartProbe's capabilities to their specific needs. Code is generated ready for programmers to drop directly into their survey scripts to deliver 'Qual-At-Scale' - including extended probing sequences or mini in-depth interviews.

CEO and founder Kathy Cheng (pictured) says the new feature 'puts researchers in the driver's seat - making it easier than ever to shape, preview, and deploy the most sophisticated AI-probing available.' She adds: 'The Studio can be used across the inca portfolio so researchers can create highly sophisticated probing dialogues and generate much deeper insights on the inca platform or by plugging inca SmartProbe into any survey platform or customer feedback loop.'
