Behaviorally Launches 'Upstream' Pack Design Tool

March 3 2026

US-based point of purchase insights specialist Behaviorally has launched Studio B, a new pack design intelligence solution combining consulting expertise, Generative Design and Predictive AI, to help accelerate and optimize the creation of packaging.

Sheryl BrieAvailable immediately to the firm's clients worldwide, Studio B operates in three phases, labelled as Humanize, Design and Predict. The Humanize phase anchors every engagement in qualitative shopper insight, tapping immersive interviews and contextual exploration to assess the emotional and functional drivers of purchase decisions. The Design phase uses GenAI to create and refine packaging concepts using Behaviorally's proprietary Design Levers solution and its established '4S framework' - 'Be Seen, Be Shoppable, Be Seductive, Be Selected.' The final, Predict phase uses the recently launched myBehaviorally platform and the firm's PackPower Score, to provide a clear forecast of a pack's expected sales performance, along with a full diagnostic of the drivers and barriers to success.

The solution also benchmarks performance against competitive designs using the world's largest pack design database.

'Having built the world's most accurate packaging effectiveness prediction engine,' says CEO Alex Hunt, 'it's a natural next step to launch Studio B., which integrates our expertise in human understanding and AI powered design generation to accelerate the development of packaging that sells.' Sheryl Brie (pictured), the firm's SVP Qualitative, explains: 'Studio B shifts qualitative research from evaluation to design application. By embedding prediction directly into the design sprint, we help brands move seamlessly from insight to action, reducing rework, increasing confidence, and accelerating smarter decisions.'
