In Ghent, Belgium, EyeSee has launched a predictive pack screening solution called PackSee.AI, promising users the ability to move faster, test more options and reduce risk before full validation. The tool delivers predictive insights in around 48 hours.
EyeSee was launched in 2012 as a webcam-based eye-tracking business, but now focuses on providing tech-enabled behavioral research, combining implicit and explicit methods for healthcare, tech, CPG and media clients. For in-context testing, respondents use their own laptops and mobile devices from home, allowing for scalable research; and the firm prides itself on creating highly realistic and customizable replicas of shopper and digital environments in-house.
The new PackSee.AI solution taps proprietary machine learning models trained on more than fifteen million human data points from the company's behavioral datasets, and is built on more than a decade of behavioral pack-testing expertise. The launch seeks to address the rising pressures of pack innovation: 'too many design routes, not enough time, and increased scrutiny on validation budgets.' PackSee.AI's fast screening layer allows teams to evaluate multiple pack designs in parallel, identify strengths and weaknesses early, and focus deeper validation on the key areas identified.
Pack performance is assessed on three criteria:
