Oriane, a new video intelligence platform which will allow full searching of social media videos for visual content, audio, product appearances and social signals, has received $2m in seed funding and is set for launch this week.
The company says its AI-native platform 'watches videos the way humans do,' recognizing brands, products, people and context across TikTok, Instagram and YouTube. Users can search with text, describe a visual, or upload an image to look for similar finds. The solution is intended to address a blind spot in existing social listening tools, which the firm says were built for text analysis of captions and hashtags, rather than actual video content.
Oriane was founded by Julien Rosilio, former Head of Growth Marketing at fashion retail software firm DRESSX; and Yuri Mihaileanu, product leader at digital creator hothousing company Jellysmack. The funding round was backed by Antler US, Clint Capital, Hartmann Capital, and angel investors from Google, PayPal and Sony.
