In Toronto, Canada, Dig Insights has appointed Mary Hunter as VP, Future Strategy and Innovation Growth.
Dig employs more than 250 staff and applies proprietary technology to help clients with brand and innovation challenges, identifying trends, building and forecasting the performance of innovations, or tracking opportunities in-market. Its proprietary innovation insights platform, Upsiide, features mobile-first approaches to engaging respondents, and researcher-first analysis and dashboard capabilities. In the summer of 2025 it acquired real-time online conversation analyst OneCliq.
Hunter (pictured) brings more than twenty years of experience in insights roles. She joins after running her own consultancy, Data Larks, for the past four years, helping insight teams deliver complex and impactful research, and before that spent six years as an SVP at Chicago firm the Kaleidoscope Group. She began her career in US multicultural research, leveraging her bilingual Spanish skills and deep understanding of Latin American cultures, working for companies including GfK, Ipsos and Kantar / Added Value. She also brings expertise in DEI, and partnered with industrial-organizational psychologists and DEI practitioners while building and leading an employee research and analytics practice.
In her new role, in Dig's Future Strategy & Innovation practice, she will work across teams to identify opportunities, define strategic approaches, and guide engagements from early conversations through delivery. 'Mary's background in strategic research, multicultural insights, and DEI consulting brings a unique and timely perspective to our FSI practice,' says Kelly Nielsen, SVP Global Client Development. 'We're excited about the role she'll play in driving growth and shaping what's next for our clients.'
