US Partnership Brings Insights to Independent Cinemas

In the US, not-for-profit cinema trade alliance ICA has partnered with analytics and insights platform Screendollars, to provide proprietary data and trends intelligence to ICA members.

The ICA (Independent Cinema Alliance) represents around 180 independent companies operating c.5,000 movie screens across the United States and Canada - theatres range in size from single-screen venues in small towns to multiplexes in larger cities. New partner Screendollars is a platform for the entertainment industry established by individuals with deep expertise across theatrical exhibition, film distribution and marketing.

The collaboration will see Screendollars content featuring in ICA's weekly member newsletter, including curated editorial content, proprietary data, charts and industry insights; while Screendollars will enhance its engagement within the independent exhibition community, as well as strengthening the depth and accuracy of its exhibitor intelligence and industry database. The latter includes information on more than 15,000 films and 80,000 industry professionals, over 5,800 movie theatres, 200 exhibitors, 400 film distributors, 400 vendors, and 200 film festivals.

Frank Rash, Executive Director of ICA, says the deal positions the organization to deliver 'sharper, more actionable insights that directly benefit our members.' Last month, media planning and measurement platform VideoAmp announced a new first-party data integration with National CineMedia (NCM), bringing cinema ad campaign planning into an integrated system with streaming, CTV, digital video and audio environments.
