Consumer data and tech giant Experian has appointed BT and Kantar Chairman Adam Crozier to its Board as an independent Non-Executive Director and Chair Designate, from 12th May. He will succeed Mike Rogers, who has chaired the company for the past seven years.
Experian has its roots in Nottingham, UK and its current corporate HQ in Dublin, and employs more than 25,000 people across 32 countries. Its huge consumer datasets and wide-ranging solutions help to facilitate secure lending and borrowing, uncover and prevent fraud, simplify healthcare and deliver digital marketing solutions. Its offer includes segmentation solutions and behavioural analytics, and its partners include Nielsen and many other data and research firms.
Crozier brings a track record of leading large consumer-facing organisations: in addition to his current roles as Chairman of BT Group plc (since 2021) and of Kantar (since 2020), he has served as Chair of Whitbread PLC and ASOS plc, and as a Non-Executive Director of Sony Group Corporation. He is a former CEO of broadcaster ITV, the Football Association and Royal Mail. At Experian he will also serve on the Remuneration and Nomination & Corporate Governance Committees, and Chair the latter.
Senior Independent Director Alison Brittain says the appointment follows a 'comprehensive and rigorous' search process, and comments: 'Adam brings extensive experience of leading large, complex organisations and a strong track record in data-driven and technology-enabled businesses. His strategic judgement, extensive Chair experience and measured approach position him well to support the Company's continued growth, and the Board looks forward to the perspective he will bring to Experian during the next phase of its development.'
Rogers says the company is well positioned for the future, and comments: 'It has been a privilege to serve on the Board of Experian since 2017 and as Chair over the past seven years, and I am pleased to welcome Adam to the Board, and as my successor as Chair.'
'On behalf of the Board and everyone at Experian, I would like to thank Mike Rogers for his significant contribution over many years, both as Chair and previously as a Non-Executive Director,' says CEO Brian Cassin. 'His leadership has been instrumental in the Company's development, and we are grateful for his guidance and support.'
