Ampere Analysis Acquired, and Buys PlumResearch

Ampere Analysis, a media data and analytics platform headquartered in London, has acquired Warsaw-based PlumResearch, a specialist in global streaming audience analytics; and has itself received a majority investment from private equity firm Goldenpeak. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Goldenpeak specialises in high-growth business and information services companies, and is Ampere's first institutional investor. The injection of cash it provides will support Ampere's expansion, including both organic growth and targeted acquisitions, as well as further investment in its products, datasets and capabilities.

PlumResearch, which like Ampere was founded in 2015, provides streaming audience measurement and analytics through large-scale audience panels and a platform called Showlabs. These capabilities will now come together with Ampere's expertise in market sizing, consumer behaviour and title-level data, promising clients richer cross-platform and cross-market audience intelligence, to understand how viewers engage with content globally. Plum's international expansion to date has been supported by Polish venture capital fund Tar Heel Capital Pathfinder.
