Funds Fuel New Ventures for Automotive Insights Parent

The Manchester, UK-based company behind recently-launched firm Automotive Insights has new funding from GM Business Growth Hub Innovation Service, with which to accelerate development a variety of new science tools focused on measuring and understanding brand performance.

Automotive Insights launched in February, is based in Campfield in Manchester city centre, and provides 'just-in-time' market intelligence from surveying 1,000 motorists each month. Behind it is a data tech business called Eyeballs to Datapoints, which intends the motoring research firm to be just its 'first product', and says it is building other SaaS tech platforms.

The 'Navigator Grant' just secured will enable the company to accelerate product development, with significant support from academics at Manchester Metropolitan University. Eyeballs to Datapoints says it will add a variety of advanced data science tools which will translate data into propriety metrics to enable clients understand their brand performance, further evaluate their customer journey and build advanced analytic tools to understand trends.

'We are incredibly grateful to receive this support from Business Growth Hub,' says Executive Director Nick Richardson. '[This] will enable us to accelerate our product development not just in our first venture - Automotive Insights - but also across two new ventures which we are planning to launch later this year.'

Jeremy Goodwin, Commercialization Specialist at Business Growth Hub, says the new tech under development 'will help transform large volumes of automotive market and consumer data into actionable insights for manufacturers, media organisations and marketers, while reinforcing Greater Manchester's reputation as a centre for innovation-led growth.'
