Jointly owned by broadcaster groups Nine, Ten and Seven, OzTAM provides VOZ, the industry's Total TV currency data, which integrates broadcast viewing on TV sets with granular BVOD viewing on connected devices for a fully national, de-duplicated, cross-screen view. It also delivers new data solutions such as Streamscape, offering an independent, unified view of Total Video consumption across broadcast, BVOD, and streaming platforms, and VOZ Streaming, enabling enhanced programmatic BVOD trading.
To help manage the new tender, OzTAM has engaged Pure X Media, an independent consultancy with specialist expertise in such processes. The organisation will adopt a modular approach, with bids either for the entire measurement process or individual components. The request for proposal (RFP) process will run during the second half of this year, with a decision expected in the first quarter of next.
OzTAM CEO Karen Halligan states: 'Video audience measurement plays a critical role in providing the transparency and accountability that underpins Australia's media market. This process is about ensuring OzTAM continues to deliver the trusted measurement services our industry relies on, both today and into the future. Over the past 25 years, Nielsen has been an invaluable partner in the delivery and evolution of OzTAM's audience measurement services. We value that longstanding relationship and welcome their participation in the tender process.'
