Voxpopme Adds GenAI Access to Survey Data via MCP

July 9 2026

Voxpopme has launched early access to an MCP service, allowing research, marketing, product and innovation teams to query their organization's own internal research repositories using Claude, ChatGPT or any MCP-compatible tool.

Andy BarracloughVoxpopme offers an all-in-one qualitative insights platform, focused around video surveys and with tools for the rapid analysis and sharing of insights. Last year the company launched AI Moderator, a tool allowing researchers to conduct hundreds of asynchronous video interviews without the need to schedule or host live sessions; and in May it added Compass, an AI research agent for enterprise insights, marketing and product teams.

MCP is the Model Context Protocol, an open standard for connecting AI assistants to outside data. After an administrator at a client company gives initial approval for the data to be connected, its individual staff can use Voxpopme inside their chosen AI assistant, whose answers can then include data from real customer interviews, and link to the source clips. The system also allows them to launch new research, as part of the same conversation, if they hit upon an area not yet covered by surveys - this feature was added with the launch of Compass.

Voxpopme says the system helps AI users escape from the 'race to the average' which results when GenAIs all use the same publicly-available data for their answers.

Founder and CEO Andy Barraclough (pictured) comments: 'Speed and automation were the last race in customer insights. Both are table stakes now. The real question is whether you can trust what an AI assistant tells you about your customers, and whether you're still applying your expert judgement when forming your conclusion. When you connect Voxpopme to Claude, ChatGPT or Teams, our research guardrails keep every answer grounded in customer truth, giving you the strategic credibility your key decisions demand.'

The firm is on the web at www.voxpopme.com .
