Funds and Two Billion Valuation for Simile

August 3 2026

In San Francisco, digital twin company Simile has raised more than $200m, tripling its funding total to date. The money will allow it to continue building a team of researchers, engineers, designers and operators, in support of its mission 'to simulate all eight billion people on earth, accurately and honestly.'

Simile logoSimile is led by founder and CEO Joon Sung Park, and has developed a proprietary physical and behavioral simulation platform which it says replicates complex interactions in human society, allowing corporate clients to accurately test decisions before real-world deployment. Alongside its behavioral model, which it says has run tens of millions of simulations for Fortune 100 enterprises in healthcare, financial services and media markets, the firm offers a confidence model which predicts the accuracy of every simulation. The platform is used to optimize product launches and customer experiences, among other objectives.

The raise values the firm at around $2 billion, remarkable as Simile is only around five months old and has a global team of just over 50 employees.

The round was led by Greenoaks, with participation from repeat investors Index Ventures, Hanabi, Bain Capital Ventures, A*, Factory and CVS Health Ventures; and new backer Definition.
