Caplena Integrates MCP

August 14 2026

Customer feedback software firm Caplena has added an MCP, allowing a client's data on the platform to be seamlessly shared between a company's existing AI tools, documents and workflows.

Caplena imageMCP (Model Context Protocol) is a global standard allowing the major GenAI tools - such as ChatGPT, Copilot and Claude - to connect directly with external tools and data sources, including an enterprise's store of research findings, customer data and insights. Little known just a few months ago, the protocol is very quickly establishing itself as a core part of the AI revolution, and MR / analytics firms are rapidly waking up to its importance / relevance and announcing integrations. A quick analysis of DRNO stories shows that we first referred to it last July (congrats to PriceSpider / Wayvia), published just nine more mentions of it in the following eleven months, and have added eighteen more since June 1st. At some stage, probably quite soon, we'll stop including all or most of them in the news - Ed.

Caplena already includes an Insight Agent, which provides a conversational interface to explore a company's data on the platform - it can also be interrogated via Slack and MS Teams. The MCP adds the ability to ask questions within a GenAI tool and have the data fed back into its answers, without leaving the program.

The company says its MCP 'respects the same fine-grained permission system' already configured in the platform, including user roles and object-level access to ensure data is only available to those it should be.
