New Fanplayr Tool Readies Catalogs for AI

August 27 2026

Palo Alto, California-based conversion optimization specialist Fanplayr has launched Catalog Intelligence, a new solution promising to transform traditional product catalogs into AI-ready product intelligence.

Simon YenckenFanplayr's platform uses behavioral data, machine learning and AI to help eCommerce sites understand visitors' intent, and then deliver real-time, targeted messages and offers to specific segments. The firm operates across North America, Europe, Asia and Latin America.

Like the platform as whole, the new Catalog Intelligence is powered by Verada AI. The tool should help retailers improve product visibility across AI search, recommendation engines, marketplaces, and emerging AI-powered shopping experiences. The firm says most companies' catalogs were designed for traditional e-commerce, not AI. And include 'incomplete, inconsistent, and unstructured data' which can limit AI's ability to access it.

Catalog Intelligence analyzes, enriches, and organizes product data into a structured layer, giving AI the context to understand it, rather than simply filling in missing fields. In principle this means providing data including category-specific attributes and classifications; product facts, specifications and identifiers; audience and use-case signals; and semantic search language, for every product.

CEO Simon Yencken (pictured) says AI is becoming 'a primary way consumers discover, evaluate, and purchase products,' in a new shopping era. He continues: 'Most product catalogs were never designed for that world. Catalog Intelligence bridges that gap by transforming traditional product data into AI-ready product intelligence, giving AI the structure, context, and depth it needs to understand and recommend products more effectively, thus driving higher revenues.'
