UK-based Eyeballs to Datapoints, the company behind recently-launched Automotive Insights, has acquired the business and key assets of Factor Sales, which provides transaction data-based market intelligence for the automotive aftermarket.
Automotive Insights is headquartered in Manchester and was launched in February. The firm provides 'just-in-time' market intelligence based on interview with 1,000 UK motorists each month. Factor Sales collects transaction data from motor factors, aggregates and anonymises it to provide suppliers with market intelligence driving pricing decisions, branch benchmarking, stock choices and growth strategies. The firm, which is also based in Manchester, has been collecting data for fifteen years and tracks sales of more than 800,000 parts daily.
Nick Richardson, Executive Director of Automotive Insights & Research Services, describes Factor Sales as 'a business that should aspire to be the mission-critical partner for any company that is serious about the aftermarket industry.' Andy Barratt, Chairman of the firm's Advisory Board, says the buy 'demonstrates how Eyeballs to Datapoints can provide the most comprehensive and dynamic view of both what consumers are thinking and doing, and how the aftermarket is responding.'
Isaac Shalaan (pictured), Co-founder and Technical Director of Factor Sales, comments: 'We are delighted to be joining such a highly regarded insights specialist, one that is eager to invest, innovate and enhance our proposition. Their approach is both ambitious and measured, and I believe it can help firmly establish Factor Sales as the mission-critical partner for any company operating within the aftermarket.'
