Network the Hi-Tech Way at ESOMAR Congress

July 12 2005

ESOMAR is paving the way for some super-efficient networking at this year's Congress, with the new 'Spotme' information service. All delegates will be offered a Spotme handset, which then alerts them when they are near one of their identified 'targets': a colleague or potential client.

As well as the alert, the device can display other delegates' photos and personal information, so you can easily recognise them and strike up a conversation. Spotme will also make it easy to keep abreast of the programme, respond to surveys, and take part in real-time voting during interactive sessions. After the event, delegates will receive an email containing details of all their new contacts.

The Congress should provide plenty of opportunity to put Spotme to use: the social programme includes a reception in the Salon des Ambassadeurs, overlooking Cannes harbour, plus a networking evening at La Maison des Pêcheurs beach resort.

Online registration, together with full programme information, is available on the ESOMAR website (www.esomar.org ).
